| .2AP.7D UNIVERSAL SIZES
Our smallest design features multiple uses. One such use is placement between the satellite and woofer sections of speaker cabinets. This eliminates acoustical coupling (two cabinets thinking they are one) and permits each enclosure to operate independently from each other. The most popular use for this miniature Audio Point forms an excellent sonic relationship between a speaker enclosure and the loudspeaker stand. When placed between the speaker and stand, the .2AP.7D removes the unwanted resonance from the loudspeaker and transfers the detrimental energy to the stand below, creating a very positive audible difference. With this purpose in mind, for speakers weighing over 25lbs, we recommend using the model number 1.0AP1D or if thread inserts exist on the speaker enclosure, refer to THREADED applications. Another use is for clients who have electronic equipment piggybacked or stacked together (without a shelf in between of the components). The combination of the .2AP.7D with the APCD2 coupling discs (for equipment's surface protection) provides an energy transfer from component to component and on to the final components grounding plain or shelf. The existing plastic or rubber feet, located on the component, should be removed to let the process of energy transfer immediately, thus dramatically improving your sound quality. ADVANCED APPLICATIONS For the do-it-yourself technician who is familiar with electronics and modification techniques, the .2AP.7D offers additional internal component uses that are described as musical dynamic increases related to thousands of dollars worth of investment. Currently there are a host of clients replacing the rubber insulators surrounding the base of the power transformers with three of the .2AP.7D Audio Points. Please note: In order to take advantage of the full audible result from this modification we recommend the use of Audio Points or Sisrum Platforms which must be in place under the chassis of said electronic components. This insures the calculated transfer of detrimental resonance from the transformer and component's chassis to the grounding plane below. Star Sound Technologies, LLC is not responsible nor can be held liable in any way for any and all damages whatsoever that may occur from the use of these products when applied through normal and all various uses throughout industry and personal use. For advanced applications we recommend that a licensed, insured and trained technician be employed to perform the tasks. In addition, certain modifications to your components may void your Authorized Factory Warranties. |
